Prep
Wash your hands and push back your cuticles. Lightly buff the surface of each natural nail so it is matte, then wipe it with the alcohol prep pad in your kit to remove oil. Skipping this step is the single most common reason a set lifts early.
Apply
Set aside about 15 minutes. Match each press-on to the right finger before you start. Apply glue or an adhesive tab, place the nail at the cuticle line, and press firmly for 30 seconds. Glue gives the strongest hold; tabs let you swap sets and reuse them.
Wear
With proper prep, expect up to two weeks. Wear gloves for cleaning and dishes, avoid using your nails as tools, and reapply a little glue at the edge if a nail starts to lift.
Remove
Never peel a set off dry. Soak your fingertips in warm soapy water with a few drops of oil for 15 minutes, then gently wiggle each nail loose. If it resists, soak longer. Removed carefully, press-ons are damage-free and your set can often be worn again.
Safety First
- Do not apply press-ons or adhesive to nails or skin that are broken, irritated, injured, or infected.
- Stop use if you notice pain, swelling, or an unexpected reaction.
- Keep glue and small components away from children and pets.
